Invited speakers for the historical session (probably some talks will be in Polish): Jacek Bartyzel (Torun): Hoene-Wronski from the point of view of a historician of ideas, politician and monarchist (tentative), Miroslaw Bochenek (Torun): Contributions of Hoene-Wronski to Economy (tentative), Grzegorz Karwasz (Torun): Contributions of Hoene-Wronski to Physics (tentative), Speaker (tba.): Contributions of Hoene-Wronski to Technics. Summary: We shall study different incarnations of Wronskians: - those of linear systems in algebraic geometry; - those in ordinary differential equations; - those in singularity theory; - and many others. We shall have three days: Thu, Fri and Sat with many talks; the remaining days will be devoted to doing research related to Wronskians. In one afternoon, we plan to have a series of talks about the work of Hoene-Wronski in Physics, Economy, Technics etc. delivered by the leading specialists in Poland. A special lecture on political ideas of Hoene-Wronski will be delivered by Professor Jacek Bartyzel (Nicolaus Copernicus University) - a honorary member of Polish Monarchist Party.
