Semigroups of Operators: Theory and Applications

2 – 5 October, 2008
Hotel Energetyk, Nałęczów, Poland

Second announcement

On 2 - 5th October 2008, in a beautiful resort place of Nałęczów, Poland, the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Department of Mathematics of the Lublin University of Technology is organizing a conference Semigroups of Operators: Theory and Applications. The conference is a part of the European project "Operator Theory Methods for Differential Equations" (TODEQ), and one of its aims is to bring together researchers working within semigroup theory. We hope that the 75th birthday of Prof. Jan Kisyński is a very good occasion for such an event.

The site of the conference is "Hotel Energetyk" at Paderewskiego 10 in Nałęczów. The conference will start in the evening of Thursday, October 2 and end on Sunday, October 5 in the afternoon (after lunch). First lectures are scheduled for Friday, October 3.

A preliminary list of participants includes the names of over 40 researchers working within semigroup theory or using it as a tool. Since the number of places is limited, those planning to register should contact the organizing committee to see whether they still can be accommodated there. The conference fee, without accommodation, is 250 PLN and includes conference materials, food (excluding breakfasts), and banquet scheduled for Saturday night. The application deadline is August 16, 2008.

It will be possible to pay the conference fee at the conference registration desk in cash.
