Birational geometry of compactifications of Drinfeld half-spaces over finite fields

Abstract:
I will talk about various compactifications of Drinfeld's half spaces over finite fields. Remy, Thuillier and Werner showed that their automorphisms extend to automorphisms of projective spaces. I will show examples when this fails for dominant endomorphisms.
I will also study log geometry of Drinfeld's half spaces and use them to construct interesting examples of varieties in positive characteristic.
