Title: Quasipositive links and algebraic curves

Abstract: A quasipositive link is a transverse intersection of an algebraic plane curve 
with a quasiconvex sphere in C^2. Understanding quasipositive links is tightly related 
to understanding topology (knotedness) of plane curves. In the talk we present an 
overview of the theory as well as recent advances in the field.
