J. Gwozdziewicz Title: Invariance of the Jacobian Newton diagram Abstract: While studying local analytic mappings (f,g) : (C^2,0) --> (C^2,0) two objects play an important rĂ´le. These are the jacobian curve describing the set of critical values and the discriminant curve which describes the set of critical values. During my talk I will show that the Newton diagram of the discriminant curve of a mapping (f,g) : (C^2,0) --> (C^2,0) depends only on the equisingularity class of curves f(x,y)=0, g(x,y)=0.
