Third announcement of the

8-th European Conference on Mathematical and Theoretical Biology,
and
Annual Meeting of The Society for Mathematical Biology,
Krakow, June 28 - July 2, 2011

We are pleased to inform you that many really good professionals in the area have promised to present their results, so the Conference is expected to be very exciting.

We would like to remind that the deadline for early registration is April 15-th (and it is not going to be extended).

This email is to provide you some additional important information.

1. One of the main objectives of 8-th EMCTB is to improve the educational and professional experience of young scientists.
Therefore, the mentoring scheme is offered

and
a Series of Introductory Lectures dedicated to young participants will be delivered.
The event will be held a day before the Conference start - on Monday, 27-th June - in the afternoon at the New Campus of the Jagiellonian University.
Lecturers: Stanislaw Cebrat, Andreas Deutsch, Peter Jagers, Eva Kisdi, Andrea Pugliese.

2. The timing of mini-symposia is already known, see http://www.impan.pl/~ecmtb11/index.php?file=mini.html

3. The abstracts of posters are still accepted (up to May 15, 2011).

4. LOT Polish Airlines has become the Official Carrier of the Conference and proposes a Special travel offer for delegates:

5. On Thursday afternoon, we plan to organize three different trips. The expected destinations are:
- The Royal Tract (main streets of Krakow, Main Square with Sukiennice and, finally, Wawel Castle),
- Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau,
- The historic Salt Mine in Wieliczka.

Once the trips will be set up, the choice of a trip will be possible on-line.
Then you should enroll to a chosen trip via the conference website

6. It is now very likely that we will provide lunches for participants.
