In this talk we will present how inverse limits can be applied to construct noninvertible minimal dynamical systems on some compact spaces (e.g. torus, Klein bottle or some other manifolds). Next, we will explain how this technique can be generalized to construct a continuum X which admits a minimal homeomorphism and such that its square X2 supports only nonminimal homeomorphisms.
