CONFERENCE PLACE:
The Mathematical Research and Conference Center of the Institute of
Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences at Będlewo, opened
for conferences in mathematics in 2001, offers excellent
facilities for mathematical conferences. The center is nicely
situated in a great park, using the former Palace and buildings of
the Potocki family, built in 1866. Będlewo is 25 km south of
Poznań/Poland with train and flight connections. Have a look to

MAIN CONFERENCE TOPIC:
Differential Geometry According to our
intention in the first announcement we have the following five
related topics, due to recent developments:
- Partial differential equations (PDEs) and submanifolds
- Submanifolds and affine differential geometry (ADG)
- Variational problems
- Conformal Riemannian geometry
- Curvature tensors and curvature operators
Additionally we follow suggestions of several participants for the
following topics:
- Finsler geometry
- Möbius geometry
There will be also a few other lectures.
LECTURES AND POSTERS
We plan to have main lectures of 35-45
minutes, and shorter lectures of 20-30 minutes. We plan to send
out the programme middle of May.
There is an excellent additional opportunity to present posters in
form of abstracts or papers. This should provide an easy and
additional mutual information about recent research of the
participants. We encourage all participants to present posters,
even if they are giving a lecture on a different topic.

As written in the first announcement, the space for accommodation
is limited (70 participants),
ACCOMMODATION AND BOARD
The Institute offers accommodation and
full board (3 meals); the price for full board is 120 Zloty per
person per day (momentarily 1 Euro is about 3,4 Zloty,
see the official schedule).
There
will be a ceremonial session for about 90 Zloty per person.
We shall also organize a bus shuttle from Poznań to Będlewo.

OUR FUNDING POLICY
The conference center of the Banach Center at
Będlewo is an institution with high standards as conference
place, but with extremely low and fair price policy for full
board. In principle there is no conference fee, but since the
ceremonial session and the bus shuttle is not included in the
basic price, we propose a conference fee 35 Euro.
Additionally the Banach Center gives partial support for the
expenses at Będlewo to a certain number of participants of each
conference. There is no possibility to support travel expenses.
According to the pre-registrations our organizing committee
discussed how to use the funds of the BC. We set the following
priorities:
- partial support of young scientists without support from other sources;
- partial support of participants from low economy countries.
We ask all other participants for their
understanding of our policy; we appreciate any activity of
participants to raise their own funds. If necessary we are willing
to write particular letters to support such activities.
The support from the Banach Center cannot be used to cover the bus
shuttle and the ceremonial sesion.
PUBLICATIONS
We recommend to submit original research papers
and/or excellent surveys to the journal
RESULTS IN MATHEMATICS.
Results in Mathematics has been accepted for
indexing in Science Citation Index Expanded.
