EPDI FELLOWSHIPS

 

Since 1998 the Banach Center is a member of European Post-Doctoral Institute for Mathematical Sciences (EPDI), a network of 11 European research institutes, which offer a number of post-doctoral fellowships each year.

The EPDI was founded in October 1995 with the common goal to encourage the mobility of young scientists on a European scale. Each year, 5 laureates (either European, or with a PhD validated in Europe) and 1 Japanese fellow of all mathematical background, are selected by an International Jury on the basis of excellence. Candidates should propose an itinerary with visits to at least 2 EPDI institutes, conducting scientific activities related to the areas of interest of the candidate. The duration of visits may vary, but should in principle not exceed 12 months.
