Dioscuri Centre at the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences

The mission of the Dioscuri Centre in Topological Data Analysis is to develop novel mathematically rigorous geometry and topology based shape descriptors to solve important applied problems in Science, Engineering and Medical Sciences. The Centre is providing a bridge between pure mathematics and computer science on one end and applied sciences on the other. We are working with a number of academic and industrial collaborators in multiple disciplines ranging from theoretical physics to Covid-19 data analysis.
Dioscuri Centres of Scientific Excellence is a programme initiated by the Max Planck Society (MPG), jointly managed with the National Science Centre in Poland (NCN), and mutually funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland (MNiSW) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Dioscuri Centre in Topological Data Analysis is founded for the period 2020-2025 and led by dr. Paweł Dłotko.
