Conformal dimension and Liouville property for groups
Conformal dimension and Liouville property for groups
I will discuss a joint result with N. Matte Bon and T. Zheng,
stating that if the limit space of a contracting self-similar group
has Ahlfors regular conformal dimension less than 2,
then the group is Liouville with respect to any symmetric probability
measure
having finite second moment. In particular, this implies that if the
Julia set
of a post-critically finite rational function is not the whole sphere,
then the iterated monodromy group of the function is Liouville, and
hence amenable. -
