Evolution variational inequalities with growth conditions in metric spaces

Abstract

We characterize the existence of integral solutions of evolution variational inequalities satisfying growth conditions in metric spaces. The characterization yields a Chernoff product formula for gradient flows and has an application to homogeneous Cauchy–Neumann problems for porous medium equations.
