Controllability of positive systems

Zbigniew Bartosiewicz

Various controllability properties of positive systems will be discussed. I will concentrate on nonlinear continuous-time systems, but the results for this class will be compared with characterizations of the properties for linear or discrete-time systems. Positivity means invariance of the positive cone with respect to the dynamics of the system. Such an invariance imposes strong restrictions on possibility of controlling the systems, but these restrictions are much different for continuous- and discrete-time systems.
