In this talk, I will consider Bose gases in a box of volume one that
interact through a two-body potential with scattering length of the
order $N^{-1+\kappa}$, for $\kappa >0$. For small enough $\kappa \in
(0;1/43)$, slightly beyond the Gross-Pitaevskii regime ($\kappa=0$), I
will outline a proof of Bose-Einstein condensation for low-energy states
that provides bounds on the expectation and on higher moments of the
number of excitations. The talk is based on joint work with A. Adhikari
and B. Schlein.
