In this talk, we will discuss the notion of Morita equivalence of Lie groupoids and their invariants. First, we will recall the basics on Morita equivalence of Lie groupoids, including several examples. Then we will pay special attention to recent developments around Morita equivalence of Lie groupoids and their underlying stacks.
