We will survey old and new results and methods concerning the structure of the set of n-dimensional convex sets (centrally symmetric or not), with emphasis on large dimension and on the recent breakthrough by Bizeul and Klartag, who showed that, up to a polylog factor, the diameter of the compactum in the nonsymmetric case is of order n.
