In this lecture, we will focus on a formal introduction to the problem of parallel hiking trails. We will explore basic definitions, formulate a hypothesis regarding said problem and show a new perspective with intent to help prove it. Moreover, we will discuss the problem’s connection between singular sets like the Wigner caustic and show its artistic aspects. This is a joint work with B. Dziwirek and M. Zwierzyński.
