Abstract:
We use techniques from Heegaard Floer theory to obstruct
rational
cuspidal curves in CP^2. These obstructions confirm a conjecture of
Fernandez de Bobadilla, Luengo, Melle-Hernandez and Nemethi, at least
for curves with one singular point. We will also discuss applications
of Heegaard Floer theory in the adjacency problem.
