Foliations 2012

Foliations 2012

24 June - 1 July, 2012, Łódź

The conference was satellite to the 6th European Congress of Mathematics which took place in Cracow for the period of July, 02-07, 2012.

It was the fifth conference on foliations organized in Poland by Pawel Walczak and his collaborators. The previous four were held in 1990, 2005 (Lodz) and 1995, 2000 (Warsaw). The aim of the conference was to to exchange scientific information about most recent results on foliations and related topics. After the conference in 2005, there was published a good number of significant papers devoted to new aspects of the theory: conformal geometry of foliations, geometric flows on foliated manifolds, dynamics of equicontinous and distal foliations/pseudogroups, etc. Most of these new results were presented during the meeting in 2012.
