Selected Topics of Simons Semesters in Banach Center, 16.12.2019 - 20.12.2019 | Warsaw

With the end of this year we conclude the first edition of the Simons Semesters in Banach Center. To celebrate this occasion we are organizing a conference at the Institute of Mathematics of Polish Academy of Sciences. It will gather experts representing various fields of Mathematics. The meeting will also be a chance to discuss perspectives and directions of further editions of Simons Semesters programs.

The 2015-2019 program "Simons Semester Banach Center" attracted about 1300 mathematicians, who visited (or will visit this year) the institute or one of its conference centers during one of the thematic semesters listed on this webpage. You can find out more about the program under this link.

The program is a part of series of research oriented Simons Semesters at the Banach Center in Warsaw (Poland). The Targeted Grant to Institutes of Simons Foundation is administered at IMPAN (Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences). Supplementary funding is provided by IMPAN.

Note there are satellite workshops:

• Algebraic Groups Days on algebraic geometry, 12-13 December 2019,
• The Frontier of Quantum Dynamics, 9-13 December 2019.
