Doctor Alexandros Eskenazis is the laureate of the 2025 Barbara and Jaroslav Zemánek Prize
Alexandros Eskenazis from Sorbonne University, Paris, has been named this year’s laureate of the international Barbara and Jaroslav Zemánek Prize for achievements in functional analysis, with a particular emphasis on operator theory.
The jury highlighted Eskenazis’s outstanding contributions to metric and convex geometry, achieved through functional-analytic methods, and, in particular, his breakthrough results advancing the Ribe program.
The prize was established by the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IM PAN) in 2018, funded by Jaroslav and Barbara Zemánek. The winner is selected annually by a seven-member international jury. More information about the prize.
