It is with great sadness that we announce that Dr. Łukasz Kuciński passed away in Warsaw on 8 September 2025, aged 44, after a long illness.
A mathematician whose work spanned machine learning and artificial intelligence, Dr. Kuciński was for several years a member of the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IMPAN), where he also completed his doctorate, and more recently worked at the IDEAS research center.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, 18 September at 12 noon at the Evangelical Reformed Church, 74 Solidarności Av., Warsaw, followed at 1 p.m. by the laying to rest of the urn at the cemetery at 42 Żytnia Street, Warsaw.
