Dr. Damian Głodkowski from the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics at the University of Warsaw has been named this year’s recipient of the IM PAN Director’s Award (formerly the Wacławek Award) for his outstanding doctoral dissertation titled Some applications of set theory in Banach spaces and operator algebras. The dissertation was supervised by Prof. Piotr Koszmider.
