Minister of Science Karolina Zioło-Pużuk visited the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IM PAN). Following her decision, IM PAN received additional funding for the organization of the Simons Semesters in 2026–2028. The funds were granted as a commissioned task entitled: “Organization of the Simons Semesters at the Banach Center – New Energies.”
The allocated budget of PLN 1.95 million will allow the Semesters to be strengthened in scope and visibility, providing enhanced support for researchers and programme activities. During the visit, the Minister met with the Directorate of the Institute and the Chair of the Scientific Council. The Director delivered a presentation on the Institute and showed the recently modernized floors and rooms of the headquarters on Śniadeckich Street.
