On 19–21 November 2025, the 1st National Congress “Science for Business” took place at EXPO XXI in Warsaw. The Polish Academy of Sciences was a key partner of the event, and among the participating PAN institutes was the Institute of Mathematics. The Congress was formally opened by the Prime Minister of Poland, Mr. Donald Tusk.
The event gathered representatives of science, business and policymakers, creating a forum for discussions on effective cooperation, funding mechanisms and the implementation of research results. Many sessions addressed the importance of the exact and engineering sciences in responding to contemporary development and security challenges.
The participation of the Institute of Mathematics PAS in the Congress reflects its commitment to strengthening the impact of mathematical research in areas of significance to society and the economy.
