Student internships

Description of the program and the application procedure:

1. The internship program is addressed to master students in mathematics or in computer science, as well as undergraduate students (in mathematics or computer science)  in their 6th semester of studies, i.e. preparing the licentiate thesis, studying in Poland.
2. The goals of the program enclose: to learn about the scientific environment of IM PAN and to get know with our researchers, possible scientific collaboration and, moreover, to encourage interns to become PhD students in one of the doctoral schools run jointly by IMPAN and the collaborating unversities. 
3. The duration of each internship is one semester, including also the summer semester (15.6-30.9). Students who completed the internship program receive the certificate issued by IMPAN. 

Application procedure: please contact one of the potential internship supervisors from the list below. The internship supervisor decides whether to accept a candidate and in cooperation with the future intern prepares the plan of the internship (max. 1 page).  

Conditions for completing the internship program: the seminar talk at the seminar run by the internship supervisor (equivalently at the seminar associated with the internship supervisor), the final report describing the scientific outcome of the internship (min. 1 page), minimal number of regular meetings of an intern with a supervisor (at least once in two weeks). The supervisor decides whether the intern has fulfilled onditions for completing the internship.
