Declaration of accessibility

The Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the provisions of the Act of April 4, 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities (Journal of Laws 2019, item 848).

The declaration on accessibility applies to the website: www.impan.pl.

Date of publication of the website: November 2015. Date of the last substantial update: Pimcore and Magento programmes were updated at the turn of 2016/2017.

The website is partially consistent with the Act of April 4, 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to incompatibilities or exclusions listed below:

  • there are texts in the form of graphics and some graphic elements do not have alternative texts,
  • some elements of the webpage have too low contrast, and cause difficulties in handling the webpage by means of keyboard or screen reader only,
  • when the font size is increased to 200% , not all the webpage content fits in the browser window,
  • there is no possibility to hide and completely stop changing banners under the main menu,
  • there are errors in the code of the website,
  • there are multimedia that are not adjusted to the needs of the hearing impaired and deaf, as well as to the persons that are blind or partially sighted (media files are subject to exclusion due to their publication before September, 23, 2020).

Current website of the Institute was set up and launched in November 2015. Within the scope of the information, it is updated on an ongoing basis, but due to the outdated system: PHP 5.5.9, Pimcore ver 3.02, Magento v.1.9.1.1, Zend framework ver 1, there is no possibility at the moment to fully adapt the Institute’s website to the current regulations, e.g. on digital accessibility for the partially sighted. Thus, it does not meet all the requirements of the Act of April 4, 2019.

At the end of 2021, the Institute intends to launch work on a new website, that meets the conditions of accessibility for persons with disabilities.

The declaration was drawn up on: January, 4, 2021. It was reviewed and updated on: January, 4, 2021.

The declaration was drafted on the basis of a self- assessment carried out by the public entity.
