Abstract

We study the notion of generalized nonuniform multiresolution analysis based on the theory of shift invariant spaces with respect to one-dimensional spectral pairs, which is a generalization of nonuniform multiresolution analysis and generalized multiresolution analysis introduced by Gabardo and Nashed [J. Funct. Anal. 158 (1998)] and Baggett, Medina and Merrill [J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 5 (1999)], respectively.
