On unitary equivalence of invariant subspaces of the Dirichlet space

                                                Abstract
It is shown that in the Dirichlet space $\mathcal{D}$, two invariant subspaces $\mathcal{M}_1$, $\mathcal{M}_2$ of the Dirichlet shift $M_z$ are unitarily equivalent only if $\mathcal{M}_1=\mathcal{M}_2$.
