Błażej Wróbel laureate of the Bartel MedalWe are pleased to announce that Mr. Błażej Wróbel has been awarded with the Prof. Kazimierz Bartel Award for courageously taking up challenges integrating classic and newest mathematical issues. The award was presented, as every year, as part of the Science Festival - Hoborski Days- organized by the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. Prof. Kazimierza Bartel Foundation was established in 2008 on the initiative of the professor's daughter, Mrs. Cecylia Bartel. It promotes historical knowledge by presenting the figures of eminent Poles, and also cultivates the memory of prof. Kazimierz Bartel - an outstanding mathematician and multiple prime minister during the Second Polish Republic. One of the highlights of the Foundation's activities is the annual Scientific Award addressed to young, although already independent, scientists.
