This event was followed by a lecture given by the laureate, at 3 p. m. in room 321, entitled „Around the Tits Alternative for nonpositively curved groups” (invitation).

Feliks Przytycki awarded the Prime Minister's Award in 2021 for 2020 for outstanding scientific achievements in the field of dynamical systems (mathematics)For outstanding contribution to the theory of dynamical systems, a field combining the ideas of biology, chemistry, physics and many branches of mathematics, and to ergodic theory. In particular, in the theory of smooth manifold endomorphisms, in the application of ergodic methods in the dynamics of dipheomorphisms, and in complex (holomorphic) dynamics.
